Ana Carolina Lima a.k.a. Instrutora Morena was born in Belem, Para in the country of Brasil.  Morena came to the US at the age of 10 in 1994, her family moved to the US to provide better living conditions for themselves.  Morena began training martial arts at the age of 12 due to being bullied in school.  The first martial art Morena practiced was Kempo Karate.  The discipline and self confidence made that came with martial arts made Morena fall in love with martial arts.  At the age of 14 moved to MA in 1998 and began training with a local group and at her first batizado met Mestre Ze Com Fome from FICAG.  Within a couple of months Morena began training with Mestre Ze Com Fome.  Mestre Ze Com Fome took Morena under his wing and when Morena received her rank of Monitora (Blue-Orange) Morena taught her first all women's event in Gainesville, FL.  Morena is now an Instrutora (Green-Blue) and has since taught work shops all over the US and had the chance to meet some of the most famous people in the Capoeira world.  Morena has taught not only Capoeira workshops but also; Maculele (african dance that is traditional to capoeira), and Samba de Roda.  Morena now teaches both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Capoeira at Team Link in Manchester, NH.
